Thanks to PROACTIVITY and my passion for design one of my logo has been chosen as the winner of the official contest ASSOCIATION FOR COACHING EDUCATION &TRAINING. Pacing, support, proactive, flexible, dynamic, active listening … are some of the coaching synonym words that I wanted to inspire with this design.
Although the term proactivity is very used today, is not accepted by the RAE (Spanish Royal Academy of Language). In the words of Stephen R. Covey proactivity can be defined as follows:
“I do not just mean taking the initiative. It means that as human beings we are responsible for our own lives. Our behavior is a function of our decisions, not our conditions. We can subordinate feelings to values. We have the initiative and the responsibility to make things happen.” Text taken from his wonderful book “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People”.
Thus, proactive and self-knowledge have been a real significant CHANGE in both my personal and professional life. Now I am aware of my ability to improve.
